If anyone tries to pressure him into something, he is convinced that they have hidden intentions. Though bitter for the most part, he has a small bit of hope that he'll be able to make friends to appease his loneliness. Ide wants friends almost more than anything, he does not know how to make them. Hanging around the area that they're in, mostly in the background, is one of the only ways he knows how to show interest. He hates what he is, considering all the trouble it's caused him in the past. There have been times when he has made rash or emotional decisions due to his easily flared temper. He prefers to have as natural food as possible, though poverty forces him to buy cans every so often. Though tactless at times and bluntly honest, Ide can mean well and is devoted and loyal. When he gets to know someone, however, he is paranoid that they'll suddenly die by knowing him. One of the only things keeping him sane is throwing himself into his work. Ide bottles almost every problem he has inside himself and will lash out at people he doesn't know. He wishes desperately to belong somewhere and help so that people will take notice of him. Ide retches at the sight of broken glass or the sound of jingling keys as that brings up painful memories from when he was fifteen. Whittling, carpentry and eating are some of his favorite activities that make him happy and talking about them with someone can put him in a good mood and actually make him smile. History: Idehr was born on October 31, 1981 in Rothbury, England. His parents had humble jobs: Nona worked as a secretary and Jareth made a living as an insurance salesman. They did not make much money, as they were discriminated against due to the color of their skins (they were both orcs). Nonetheless, Nona and Jareth focused on Iderh's happiness and the first few years of their son's life were wonderful. When Ide started elementary school, however, the other children in his class began to tease him with 'green-face.' Distraught, he told his parents about what was happening and they tried to console him by suggesting to tell people that he had a deficiency. He managed to ignore the classmates for the most part, but it was still difficult for him. The nicknames only worsened as he entered junior high as puberty hit him and Ide began to grow tusks. Nearly everyone in his class did not want to talk to him or have anything to do with him in general. It was then that he wore hoodies nearly all the time, or extremely high collars to hide his face. Growing his hair long was also necessary so he could easily duck his head as well. His parents also taught him to use illusion magic to hide his tusks, but it required focus to do so and he sometimes forgot about it. No matter what season it was, Ide always wore gloves to hide his hands. His disguise did not work as well as he hoped and still continued to be harrassed. At fifteen, eight boys followed him back from school and started to jangle their keys as they taunted him, cockily walking towards Ide. The next thing he knew, they surrounded him, tore off his shirt and cut Ide's skin with broken pieces of glass. It was only when they did that, he became enraged and knocked out a couple of boys. He ran for his life then and returned home to hide in his room, not telling his parents about the incident until the next morning. Ide had a difficult time returning to school after that, and it was at least a couple of weeks before Nona and Jareth could convince their son to face his fears and ignore the other members of his class. Ide became much more jaded and introverted, not talking to anyone except for his parents when he could help it. He passed some of his free time by helping his mother in the garden because their nature magic influenced the earth enough for them to grow a couple types of vegetables. Ide managed to find a boy to spend time with, though he was stoned all the time and didn't really talk to him... but he at least didn't mention Ide having greenish skin. The relationship didn't last very long, as the boy soon moved town for more drug opportunities. One day after he turned sixteen, he came home from school and waited until the evening for his parents, but they didn't arrive. Phoning their cell phones proved to be useless and he called the police. It was a few days later before they could tell him that both Nona and Jareth were killed by somone, but they never found out who. Ide packed what he had and ran away, north to Scotland where he hoped he could make a new start and that the police wouldn't find him. Fortunately, he found a farm with a farmer who didn't mind having a hired hand with no experience. Angus Cullen, the farmer, taught the young man basic carpentry skills. The year of his parents' death was very difficult as he stole whisky from Cullen and threw himself into his work. In the meanwhile, Ide met an old woman who was a friend of Cullen's, named Edith Brinis, and wanted to help her as she could not see very well and was somewhat feeble. She was his main source of companionship esides the farmer, who was more like his mentor. Later on, he also started a vegetable garden as another project. For a few years afterwards, he grows vegetables for Cullen to sell in the nearby village and saves some for Edith. Ide also took particular care of the sheep he tended, and befriending a ewe in particular. Next to Edith, the sheep became his good silent companion and he made sure she wouldn't be harmed. In his fourth year of living in Scotland, Ide took a trip to Edinburgh and attended the wedding of Edith's grandson. It was the happiest he'd been in ages, as they did not pay attention to his skin and he could eat as much as he wanted. He met a man named Malcolm Gray at the wedding, who was Edith's great nephew, and started to chat with him, discovering that the man was praeternatural.' The two kept in touch on and off from then on. The next year, he was spending most of his spare time at Edith's house and kept her company, listening to her life story bit by bit each day. He continued to work as normal with a standard routine until his eighth year, when Cullen and Edith were killed in a vehicle accident. After they died, Ide became convinced that he was bad luck and left the farm to go to down, starting work in a grocery store. He had to live in a flat and it was awful. He despised it as people stared and whispered, making him feel like an outcast again. After a year, Malcolm told Ide that he was going to a praeternatural place called Elysium by boat and Ide wanted to go there too. Ide decided to help people as a carpenter, which he liked to do.
